Best Renovators Choice - Finalist

For Renovators Choice, we decided to feature a fabulous walk in closet which was totally designed and constructed by our custom cabinetry division, Jameswood Studios.

The entire existing closet was demolished to make way for a totally new approach.  The amount of hanging space was increased and drawers added.  Cupboards for seldom used items were added at the top osf the closet. A space with lighting was created to house a Buddha sculpture.

Many samples of veneer were researched for a sense of modernism and simplicity.  Black walnut was chosen.

The closet boasts a built in clothes hamper.  The drawers employ the use of Blum self closing slides. The countertops are granite and puck lighting was installed. The door frames are solid walnut with glass inserts nearly 7 feet high.

The existing tile was a soft Brazilian limestone that had to remain.  The tile matches the rest of the existing main floor finish and no new tiles were available, so the tiles had to be carefully removed in sections to allow for reuse after the new closet configuration was installed.
